Shambhala is a Tibetan Buddhist mythical kingdom. It is said to be a place of tranquility and happiness. That's all that I know about it. My mom has read a lot of books about Shambhala. She liked its meaning and so, she decided to call our farm "Shambhala". They are still developing it though.
We went there yesterday. I woke up at 1:30 AM (I have no idea why) but we left at about 6 AM. I was podcasting the whole morning. Lol. Our farm is located in Silang, Cavite. It is near
Tagaytay (a popular tourist spot).
I have vanity photos while I was in the car. It took us about 2 hours to get there. What can I do?
When I went there for the first time (around December - January), it was just a piece of land with tons of grass, coffee and pineapples. Now, it's something else. There was still tons of grass and some coffee trees, but all the pineapples were removed. My mom didn't like a pineapple farm. Everyone in Tagaytay area had pineapple farms so we decided to be different. By the way, the farm is family owned (by my immediate family-- dad, mom, elder bro & I) but my mom is like the "main" person in-charge.
They are building huts and not just ordinary beach huts. The huts that are being built are Ifugao huts. Ifugao tribes live in the northern mountains. These huts are from the Ifugao area in Northern Philippines. My mom even went to the north just to observe the huts. The huts that are being built are authentic Ifugao huts. They were brought from the north to the south. Maybe I should just say those huts are being assembled since it really is. My mom bought these huts from the Ifugaos and the people who are assembling it are from Mountain Province (I think). So, it means that the people who are assembling it are the one who really know how to. It's not some kind of imitation. Lol. My mom just modified some parts of the design. The Ifugaos have a certain way of building huts and weaving the roof. Since my mom modified it, she would know when someone copies her idea and she will be furious when she finds out. Argh, if you are someone who's planning to develop a resort, do not copy the things that you will see in the photos. I will haunt you. I swear.
Actually, these huts are not yet done. They need some more stuff so that the quality will be great. The model-skinny ladders are temporary. Lol.
We sorta went hiking. The land was steep and the other parts were very slippery. It was fun though. We walked down the steep path and even had sticks for support (sorta like skiing). We even encountered a shallow stream (it's shallow because it didn't rain). When we climbed back up. It was slippery because of the grass.
That's just the part when we were going down. When we were down there, that's when we saw the stream. I also took a few shots of those things that I saw down there.
The stream is actually tempting. I wanted to jump in (haha. I actually almost slipped in). If there were no litter, I definitely jumped in, but the people who uses the stream left litter. So mean.
We also went to Tagaytay. We stayed at Starbucks for a while. The Taal Volcano view is so beautiful. Although it was quite sunny in the morning, the air was a bit cool. In the afternoon, while we were at Starbucks, the sun hid itself. The temperature was cooler.
Look at the photos I took. They are pretty. Don't deny it. Hehe. There's Taal Volcano and Mt. Makiling too. I think Mt. Makulot is also visible from that place, but I don't think that I snapped it well. Lol.
Well, this is the secret path. It's the path to Shambhala.
I wanted to upload pics of the plants, but I'm too tired. I still got that tormenting headache and I still need to review some Japanese for tomorrow's class.
Busy. Later.

Missy ;)
